Constance Cross picked up her first set of braids as a teenager, styling family and friends at the kitchen table long before it was a business. Years of practicing traditional African braiding techniques—box braids, cornrows, knotless styles—turned into a reputation, and the reputation turned into Consty Braiding. Today she still takes clients one chair at a time, no overlapping appointments, because a style is only as good as the attention it's given.
